BaliFokus Joins

Climate change represents an enormous threat for developing countries such as Indonesia. Poverty, along with the terrible influence it plays upon human life, is expected to exacerbate with the impact of climate change, requiring more than simply aid in funds to improve it.

BaliFokus works to protect and improve the environment on the island of Bali, Indonesia. A low-lying island in a developing nation, Bali is vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.

BaliFokus is working to address climate change and other environmental challenges through education and sustainable development projects, including wastewater treatment and waste management programs.

On February 2009 Bali Fokus join to build this global movement for a sustainable future. is an international campaign dedicated to creating an equitable global climate treaty that lowers carbon dioxide below 350 parts per million.

350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide–measured in “Parts Per Million” in our atmosphere. 350 ppm–it’s the number humanity needs to get back below as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change. is coordinating an international day of action on October 24, 2009 at hundreds of iconic places around the world – from the Taj Mahal to the Great Barrier Reef – we will spark a global movement that will unite the public, media, and our political leaders behind the 350 goal. was launched in March 2008 by Bill McKibben and the team of young organizers behind last year’s successful Step It Up 2007 campaign committee working with network of friends and allies around the world, including major international NGOs and local, grassroots organization to campaign the 350 goal.
